Review Of Anker 2200 Mah Battery for Samsung Galaxy S3

When using our mobile devices, battery life has and probably will always be a major concern. When I received the Anker 2200 Mah battery for the Samsung Galaxy S3, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. When doing product reviews, I have never been interested in being the first. I’ve always been more concerned about being thorough.

After alternating this battery for over a month with the stock, it maintains capacity and performance.

Simply put, this battery is amazing. When looking at it you will notice that the battery is not much larger than the OEM battery. In fact to the naked eye you would barely notice. However, as your day progresses you will definitely notice the increased battery life you have available.

I’m broken my uses into several tests and in each the Anker has outperformed the OEM.

In real world usage this battery has outlasted the OEM by roughly 3 hours. Real world to me means, listening to music, web, txt, browsing, and light gaming. For full video and gaming the Anker battery shines as well and I typically noticed at least a 10% longer battery life than stock.

On most days I begin at 5AM hitting the gym. By about 9PM I’d get a prompt for the 20% charge with the OEM battery. You can’t  be exact, but with very similar usage, I don’t get the prompt with the Anker battery until 12AM.

For the price, I can’t recommend this product enough. One thing to keep in mind is that this battery doesn’t support NFC, so if that is important to you, you’ll need to keep looking. For me, that is not important as NFC is not widely available in my common areas.
